Cathy Hughes Board Chair and Executive Producer Cathy Hughes is the organization’s Board Chair and Executive Producer. She brings over 30 years of international & national experience in the Communications industry. She has worked as a television producer and director with CNN’s Local Edition of Headline News in Texas, USA, as a television news reporter in Jamaica and in radio with the BBC in Liverpool, England.

She established VIDEOMEGA on her return in 1993, and the organization is widely regarded as the most efficient television production entity. Cathy holds a degree in Mass Communications from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and a post graduate diploma in Training and Development.

Russel Lancaster Managing Director/ ProducerRussel Lancaster is the company’s Managing Director and Executive Producer. He brings over 33 years of experience to the position having worked in the Communications Industry for most of his career. He has worked as an Announcer/Producer in both Radio and Television, has won acting awards in Theatre and at the National Music Festival, directed acclaimed productions for National Events and taught at the National School of Theatre Arts and Drama. He recently wrote and directed the signature production “ONE” for Guyana’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations. He is a Producer, Director, Copywriter, Actor and Voice-over Talent. His particular skill is the creation of unique conceptual developments for transmitting ideas in the fields of Public Relations and Advertising. He has worked previously with Guyenterprise Advertising Agency and International Advertising Concepts, a Trinidadian based Production Company. He has worked extensively on projects for international organizations such as UNESCO, PAHO/WHO and UNDP. He spearheaded the sensitization campaign for the introduction of Tobacco Legislation for PAHO/WHO. He also served as Creative Director for Guyana’s 50th Republic Celebrations.
Karen Davis Production ConsultantKaren Davis is a Media and Communications Specialist with a Masters in International Journalism. She has wide-ranging experience in Information Resources Management and Dissemination. She has worked extensively in Media Education both as a Lecturer at the University of Guyana and as a Workshop Facilitator and has held senior positions with the Inter-American Development Bank, United States Information Service, Carter Centre, UNICEF, UNDP and FAO. She brings a broad-based and diverse experience to the Videomega Team
Jennifer Poonow Administrative Manager and Media Placement OfficerJennifer Poonow is the company’s Administrative Manager/ Media Placement Officer. She brings over 18 years’ experience to this position. Over the years she has developed and maintained excellent relations with media houses in Guyana and this allows her to meet challenging deadlines and to ensure that clients’ needs are met even in tight situations. Her duties include the development of Media Placement Schedules, Media Monitoring, Program Recommendation, and the organization of Media Events. She works closely with clients in these areas and is an invaluable resource in audience targeting and placement of media deliverables.
Lloyd Blanchard Associate Art Director and Social Media SpecialistLloyd has over 15 years’ experience the Marketing and Communications arena. He is a visual communications specialist with a unique approach to design. His creative campaigns have graced the local and Caribbean media space and propelled him to the top of his field. He is also a brand strategist and social media expert with extensive understanding of how these impact the contemporary marketing environment. Initially trained as a graphic artist and photographer, he responded to changes in the way the modern world presents itself and expanded into new media with digital and social media content creation. For the last five years Lloyd has been bringing his distinctive approach to Videomega’s projects, contributing significantly to the company’s leverage in the ever-changing world of corporate communications.
Albert Gordon Armstrong CameramanGordon Pressy Armstrong is the company’s award-winning Senior Cameraman. “Pressy”, as he is known in media circles, has tremendous experience shooting for national and international clients in Guyana’s hinterland and rainforest locations and in several Caribbean islands. He is an expert in the coverage of news and current affairs events including international conferences and Regional Heads of Government Conferences.
